The search function is very useful to find posts/topics that contain a single or multiple words. For example, you can search for Four Agreements to find all posts that contain these two words. There are several places you can initiate a search from:[*] Main Search Method: Click the "Search" link that is at the top/right of virtually every page on the Forum. There are many different options for searching here. With this method you can choose if you want to search all Forums or specific ones. [*] Main Page quick search: On the main Forum index page there is a search box at the top right (IF you are logged into the Forum). This searches the all Forums.[*] Forum Search: While viewing the topic list of a specfic Forum (i.e. after you click a Forum from the main index page) there is search box at the bottom left that can be used to search Topics in the Forum you are currently viewing. [*] Topic Search: If you are viewing a specific topic there is a search box at the bottom left that can be used to search within the topic you are viewing.How to Search the Forums:Main Search Method:
  1. Click the "search" link that's at the top/right of virtually every page.
  2. In the "Search by Keywords" field enter one or more words you would like to search for. You can enter a plus sign (+), minus sign (-), asterisk (*), or double qutotes (" ") when performing searches to limit your results as indicated below:
    UseMeans
    apple banana Find posts that contain at least one of these words
    +apple +juice Find posts with both words
    +apple -juice Find posts with 'apple' but not 'juice'
    apple* Find posts with 'apple' and/or 'applesauce'
    "Some Words" Find posts with the phrase 'some words of wisdom', 'some words' but not 'some noise words'
  3. Under the "Search Where" area there is a box with all the Forums listed as displayed below.
    1. You can either select ">> All Forums" to search in all Forums or choose specific Forums you want to search in by clicking one Forum and then hold down the Shift or Ctrl key (keep either key held down) and click additional Forums.
    2. You can also save yourself time by clicking a parent Forum and selecting the "Search in child forums if sub category is chosen" instead of choosing each child separately. For example, since Toltec Warriors is selected below, the search will take place in the children Forums New to the Forum? Stop here first! and Toltec Warrior Discussions (as well as Dreaming Discussions and Dreaming Logistics).Attached File  Search_Forum_Box.gif ( 4.82K ) Number of downloads: 3
  4. Enter a Member name in the field at the top right if you wish to search for posts by a specific memeber.
  5. Choose any other options you want under the "Refine Search" area to the right.
  6. Click the [ Perform the search ] button.
Main Page quick search:
  1. In the "Enter words to search..." field enter one or more words you would like to search for. You can enter a plus sign (+), minus sign (-), asterisk (*), or double qutotes (" ") when performing searches to limit your results as indicated in the table previously mentioned above.
  2. Click the [ GO ] button.
Forum Search:
  1. In the field at the bottom left of the Forum (next to the [ Search forum ] button) enter one or more words you would like to search for. You can enter a plus sign (+), minus sign (-), asterisk (*), or double qutotes (" ") when performing searches to limit your results as indicated in the table previously mentioned above.
  2. Click the [ Search Forum ] button.
Topic Search:
  1. In the field at the bottom left of the Topic (next to the [ Search forum ] button) enter one or more words you would like to search for. You can enter a plus sign (+), minus sign (-), asterisk (*), or double qutotes (" ") when performing searches to limit your results as indicated in the table previously mentioned above.
  2. Click the [ Search Forum ] button.Note: For some reason the text you enter is currently not being displayed, but it does recognize what you enter. Also, any word(s) found in the Topic will be highlighted.
