Hi to all of you!!

I have not posted for a long time, first time on this new site... It is time for some mirroring after some work on my own....

Im searching for my innermost honest Intent....

How do I know what is my innermost Intent? I would imagine it is to see the world through the eyes of love... but is this were I start?

I would like to have an intent to focus on.... to practice.... I long to be impecable.

How do I find a truthful intent that is not dictated by my parasite?

I have an new agreement to keep up.... it's to be honest with myself and others at all times, could this be an intent or is it more a subject for stalking?? Or both?

Or could my Intent be to stalk myself regarding being totally honest at all times?

I'd love to hear others experience on finding their Intent,

Love and light

Dear Anne,

Welcome back. I will have to add visiting your country to my intent.

Good for you in starting this topic! My intent--for me--is to manifest my dream in the most loving and compassionate and impeccable way. My intent includes loving all life equally and striving to project the most loving and peaceful dream into the Universe so that one day there will be only love and peace.

Thank you for asking the question.

Love,
Maggie

Hi! Peace to you, friend.... I am wondering along wishing I had some more guidance...you know, I am new too, so I suppose just the fact that we are here, wondering and watching makes an intent...
I have been a wanderer for my life, but not until I began THIS study have I begun to make the connections...(thanks for your illumination yoda: ...)and I point this out because I think maybe we all are here at different degrees...I wish to learn more...
I'd love to hear others experience on finding their Intent, keep your eyes open, be stealthy, be aware... and your intent will be there...thats what I'm learning...thanks for listening...

Good subject! I'd be interested in hearing anyone's thoughts on intent...

I'm not sure if I conceptually have a good understanding of Intent within the Toltec mythology. I believe I have the intent of being happy, at peace, and raising my awareness...

How do I know if this is my innermost honest intent? I don't know...

How do I know if this is being dictated by my parasite? I guess I don't know for sure the answer to this either, but when I ask my mind if this is what it wants the answer seems to be yes. But I know my mind wants other things that are sometimes in conflict with this intent. But, I just feel (not a physical feeling) that deeper this is my desire. So I beleive, for me, this desire is coming from both my mind and some place deeper. So, I guess I really don't know if that's my "intent" but that's what feels right at this point so I'm going with it...

For me, I beleive when I have a strong desire for something such as this (peacefullness, happiness, awareness) I call it my intent. And when I desire something this bad it seems that things happen to help me "gain" these things...

Anne,
You said:
QUOTE
" I would imagine it is to see the world through the eyes of love...".

Is this an expectation? Is having an expectation create an intent, or desire to acheive the expectation?? hmmm.... that's something interesting for me to think about regarding the intent I mentioned above... Also, if there is an expectation here, will that limit ones self?

Also, you said:
QUOTE
"I have an new agreement to keep up.... it's to be honest with myself and others at all times, could this be an intent or is it more a subject for stalking?? Or both?"

I "believe" that any agreement is coming from the mind (or parasite), so I think this is a good thing to question as you are, but I don't beleive I can answer whether or not this is also coming from your intent.

If anyone has any thoughts on any of this or intent in general, please share! detective.gif warrior.gif

Hey all,

As I understand it, there is a fundamental difference between intent and intention.

Intention comes from the mind/program.

Intent is when you channel spirit/the infinite and it comes through the heart without the minds concepts and filters effects.

Also, as I understand it, the best way to connect with your Intent is to clean your program of it's concepts and filters so you can "feel" intent rather than "think" it.

Toltec Masteries.... Awareness, Transformation and Intent

The process is to become Aware of our beliefs and filters, Transform our beliefs and filters and get in touch with out Intent.. It's about aligning our intention to our Intent.. rather than trying to align our Intent to our intention.

Love, Ken

Hello all,

I agree with Ken's post wub.gif . I believe Intent comes to me all the time. I can pour it into word if I want to. But many times I cannot hear or feel it.

For me the search for intent is the need of the mind to have a rule, guideline, answer or law I can act on. At a certain level it's very helpful. So to stalk your honesty can do a very good job in "aligning our intention to our Intent".

So I practice and apply the Toltec tools to clean the mind's program and to allow to the possibility that I will become more and more aware of my Intent.

I am struggling with intent vs intention. Is it simply spiritual vs worldly? Acquiring money to buy a house for unwanted children to live in is intention? Loving those children is intent? Attempting to help them is intention?
If someone can give me an example, my parasite would greatly appreciate it.
Love ya!

Whether you call it *stalking* or *intent* it doesn't matter, how to define a thing can be more personal. As long as you yourself know what you mean to say in your own definitions then all is well.

Some of what you are exploring above seems to be about what your desires are. My view on intent is slightly different.

Our emotions and our rational mind can come up with new themes for ourselves. New areas to work on and new desires to aim towards within ourself, like being honest. These are perhaps methods, a way to relate to ourself.

Intent in my view is more about an alignment, I'd call it the primal alignment. What it is is that we live our lives and move across the various scenes of our life doing what we think is right. All of it is moved by a mass intent, our awareness, as other's moves according to this intent. Even the talking in our heads seems to come from it, the TV, the radio, the things that are just said. It is all a mass vibration of the intent that it *already there*

To master intent we need to stop that world. The thoughts integrated into it and our own awareness, because all we have known is our awareness moving along with that intent. When we stop it, our movement to it, when we reach a true stillness, a meditation where we are rooted in our own magnetism and not moving at all we have release.

There is an intent in us, our individual spirit flickering away there. When that intent starts to kindle the fibres of our own awareness we catch fire, we catch fire with our own intent. We smoke that. We breathe around it and that breath tokes on our awareness hence kindled with that flame. We start to smoke our own dreamer. This is not only emotions that we may have about our *self* or even the voice of our Dreaming Body.

Find you, you are your power and when you align that it doesn't matter what definition, just act, and direct your awareness according to the pulse and dance of that inner-intent.

It seems to me that intent is more a feeling or state of mind, and intention is the action of the mind to express intent. For example, could I say that my intent is to have only love show to all who meet me, but one intention is to show the form of that love by helping others?
I'm new to this site and Sheri's book, and am just getting started to work at becoming free so I really need all the support I can get! I read don Miguel Ruiz's books over a year ago, but allowed my fears and false book of laws to prevent me from believing I could actually become free. I also have no support in this from my husband of 33 years, though he has not tried to stop me or put anything down, just a complete lack of interest.
I live in Ohio, close to Columbus and would like to find other Toltec Warriors for support.
And bear with me, I have never used a forum before! I realize no one has used this link for some time, but it really got me thinking! Thanks for any input.

'Intent vs intention" for me it kind of means the same.

To act with intention or to act with intent for a warrior would be his controlled folly.

To act without intent would also be his controlled folly. For a warrior is just waiting and while he waits he wants for nothing.....

What do you guys think?

"Intent is when you channel spirit/the infinite and it comes through the heart without the minds concepts and filters effects."

Ken, I think you are on to something. So "intent" is an existential quality or attribute independent of the thinking mind after all the filters are removed? Is it therefore only for the sake of the experience that "intent" manifests? In other words, is its value only what we feel in the moment? If so, than the characterization of "intent" is ephemeral, methinks: is the contemporary Toltec then, seeking only ephemeral experiences? After the experience, or the latest trip to Teo or other eco-travel, we go back to our comfort zones predicated on mortgages, routines, relationships, and work?

What I take from Carlos is very different - even though Carols was unable to enter into Don Juan's world completely. For Don Juan (as told through the eyes of Castaneda), intent is transforming one's life in a radical way to the extent that it not only shifts consciousness, but also existential realities. By this, I understand Don Juan as someone who could leave it all behind and change places on a moments notice. It did not matter to Don Juan if he lived in the same house or not. Nor did it matter to him if he even had a house to live in. Don Juan, as I read his personality (in Castaneda) was completely free of the world and everything, and of everyone in it. Measured against today's practitioners of the Art, I often wonder if we are talking about the same path.

My Intent is to remember and become again what I was before I was trained to think and perceive everything by ways of socialisation, the muting of the Spirit.

As well, at the same time be in the place of conditional love without being at the mercy of the whims and moods of those I do love unconditionally.
To shift to a place above being moved by others in this way.

I am not sure in any real way if Intent is something you can find by looking, but more kin to listening for...
