Victoria broke her foot the first day of the trip. It was
helpful that Sheri used to practice podiatry before running
spiritual journeys!

Barbara shows off her boo-boo's to Victoria!

This is the famous Tuli Tree. It is truly amazing, it is
an entire eco-system in and of itself!
|

There are many naves in the church on the main square. They
are normally closed off, but you can see inside them and
view the beautiful art work.
|

Here is a view of a church from the side. Most of the church's
were built by the Spanish over the Native Indian's sacred
spots.
|

Another church view.
|
As you can see, the architecture is beautiful.

This set of photo's where taken at the sacred site of Monte

Sherry and Kevin take a moment for a photo.

This is another section of Monte Alban. You can see how
high up this complex is above the town which lies below
in the valley.
|

This is the ball court. This game was played to the death,
however it is not really know who died -- the winner or
the loser.
|

Another view from Monte Alban.
|

Many carved figures were found at the site.
|
Here are some other excellent carvings from stellae.

This is a view of the embellishments on the structures at

Here we are at Hierve el Agua. This area is pretty remote
and very high above the valley. Hot mineral water bubbles
up out of a hole and has been doing this for thousands of
years. You can see in the next picture what all the mineral
deposits have created.
|

This is not water. This is the actual formation of hardened
minerals.
|

This is the hole where the hot mineral water boils up from.
|

This is just one of the many mineral pools that people swim
in to relax and for the mineral benefits.

Teotitlan del Valle is a weaving town. Here we were about
to receive a lesson on how the people dye the wool, turn
the wool into stands and weave it. Fascinating!
